STUDIO POLICY
TUITION
Tuition is due during the first week of the month. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card (MasterCard, Visa, or Discover). We are able to set up an automatic withdrawal of your monthly payment through your credit card. Families that wish to do so will have their card charged the first of the month. Late fees will apply for payments made after the due date.
STUDIOS CLOSINGS
We close the studio for inclement weather. Closings will be posted on our social media accounts. Be sure to follow/like the Dance Den to make sure you receive the most up-to-date information. You can also call the studio one hour before class for an updated pre-recorded message regarding any class cancellations. Make-up classes will be made available.
CLASSROOM GUIDELINES
We have one-way mirrors for parents to view and watch the entire class. Each of our three studios have one-way mirrors.
New students are placed in classes according to age, grade level, and dance experience. Once the instructors work with the student, changes may be made based on the dancer’s ability.
Our curriculum consists of: ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, lyrical, and contemporary. We offer these styles individually, and as combination classes, technique classes, performance classes, and competition classes.
ATTIRE
We ask that students come prepared to class in dance clothes (leotards, dance pants/capris/shorts, tights, leg warmers, tank-tops, skirts). Clothing that is oversized is not permitted because it is distracting and it does not allow the teacher to see proper body alignment. Hair must be tied back in all dance classes.
Ballet/Pointe: All 45-60 minute ballet pointe students must wear a leotard and tights, some students in some classes can wear a ballet skirt. Warm-ups are permitted.
Jazz/Hip Hop: Dancewear that is form-fitted (leotards, tights, pants, etc).
Lyrical: Form fitted dancewear. For specific information, please consult the teacher.
Tap: Dancewear that is form-fitted to include capris or shorts. NO pants are permitted in tap classes, so that the instructor can see the execution of the student’s steps.
RECITALS
All students have the opportunity to perform in our end of the year recital. Participation is 100% optional. Our performance troupe and competition team have opportunities to dance in additional shows and our competition team participates in various regional and national dance competitions.
Our two recitals are held in Millstone, NJ at the Millstone Middle School. Our Winter “By Audition Only” recital will be held in January and our End of the Year Recital will be held in June.
Our costumes usually range between $60-$75.
